Card Market Reports
Data-backed looks at what is actually moving in the trading-card market: population trends, grading economics, and price shifts, updated for 2026.
Every report here is built the same way. We pull the sold comps we already hold, keep one variable still, let another move, and publish whatever the numbers say rather than whatever would make a better headline. Sometimes that means a report lands on "nothing much happened," which is a finding too.
The reports split roughly three ways. There are the annual market reads, one per sport and one per major category, which are the ones people tend to cite. There are the mechanism pieces, grading economics, parallel ladders, the break market, which try to explain why a price moved rather than just that it did. And there are the rookie-class reads, refreshed each season, which age fastest of the three. I'd check the date stamp on any of them before quoting a figure, because sold comps keep moving and an evergreen page does not.
