Contact Hobby Card Index
Email is the front door. One address handles support, press, partnerships, data corrections, and security disclosures — we read all of it.
Reach us by email
We've kept this simple on purpose. There's one inbox to remember and one human reading it. No support-ticket hop, no chatbot wrapper, no "select your reason from this menu" dance. Write us, we read it, we get back to you.
What to write about, and what to include
Same address, but the more specific you are in the subject line, the faster we route it. Five buckets cover almost everything we get.
Account & product help
Login trouble, billing questions, the scanner refusing to finish a card, a tier upgrade that didn't go through. Subject line: "Support — [issue]". If you can include a screenshot or the URL where the bug showed up, that helps.
Press & media inquiries
Working on a hobby story and want to talk through our numbers, our methodology, or the ownership context. Subject: "Press — [outlet / topic]". We'll send the underlying data behind any chart on the site, by request, free of charge.
Partnerships & integrations
You're a card show, a card-trade publication, an LCS, a dealer collective, an API customer, or a developer building something hobby-adjacent. Subject: "Partnership — [your org]". Tell us what you're trying to do; we'll tell you whether we're the right fit.
Data corrections
Wrong card name, wrong year, wrong parallel, a sale that doesn't look real, a print run we have off. Subject: "Correction — [card / set]". The more specific (URL or card ID), the better. We log corrections by date and ship fixes in batches.
Security & responsible disclosure
If you've found a vulnerability — auth bypass, IDOR, injection, anything that lets the wrong user see the wrong data — please email [email protected] with subject line "Security — [short description]" and we'll route it directly. We treat security reports as priority and we don't go after researchers who report in good faith. If you'd like the report PGP-encrypted, ask in the first email and we'll exchange a key.
The longer-form security posture is on the security page, including the audits we run and the disclosures we've shipped to date.
Already a HobbyCardIndex user?
If you're already signed in, the in-app contact form (Settings › Contact) is the fastest path. It auto-attaches your account info and lets you upload up to three screenshots. Same inbox on the receiving end — the in-app form just saves you the typing.
One thing we don't do: SMS, phone support, or live chat. We're a small team, and the data work happens overnight. Email is the medium we can actually reply to thoughtfully. If you'd rather get a quick answer in writing than wait on a callback that never comes, that's the trade.
What you can expect when you email us
- One business day to a first reply on most threads. Faster on simple support; slower on press requests where we're checking numbers before responding.
- A real answer, not a form letter. If we can't help, we say so plainly. If we don't know yet, we say that too.
- No upsell. Support questions get support answers. We don't bury a help reply inside a pitch for a higher tier.
- Quiet handling of sensitive reports. Security disclosures, account-takeover concerns, anything tied to a real-money question — those don't get forwarded around. They go to one person.
About the project, briefly
HobbyCardIndex is an independent sports-card pricing and research platform. No grading service. No marketplace. No breaker. No manufacturer. The full ownership picture is on the about page and the independence page. If you're new here and reaching out for the first time, those two pages are the right onboarding.
Or just try the platform
Free tier, no credit card. Search any of the ~4M cards in the catalog, build a watchlist, see the market-intel dashboard. The basic price tools are not gated.
