Card Price Checker
Updated . Prices on the card pages move daily; the plan prices quoted here are the ones in the app today.
Quick answer
Type a card into the box below and you get the matching cards with their current raw price; pick yours and the card page shows real sold prices for the raw card and for PSA, BGS, SGC and CGC grades, recent sold comps and a price history chart. It covers more than 16 million sports and trading cards, and you don't need an account to look a price up.
Year, set and player works best. For Pokémon and other TCGs, add the card number. Or browse by category, by set or by player, or skip the typing with the card scanner.
How the price checker works
- Type the card. Year, set and player or character gets you there fastest; a card number helps on Pokémon and the other TCGs.
- Pick the exact card from the results. Parallels and variations are separate rows because they're separate prices.
- Read the price grid: raw, PSA 10, PSA 9, PSA 8, BGS 9.5, CGC 10 and SGC 10, every one from real sold prices.
- Check the comps and the chart. Dated recent sales for that card, and the history over a month, a year or all time.
- Sign in (free) if you want to save it to a collection, set a price alert, or scan the next one with your phone.
What we have that other price checkers don't
16 million-plus cards
Sports and TCG in one catalog, 25-plus categories, so you're not bouncing between a baseball site and a Pokémon site.
Raw and graded from real sold prices
PSA, BGS, SGC and CGC alongside the raw price, from what cards actually sold for rather than asking prices.
Sold comps and history on every card
Dated recent sales and a chart you can set from a month back to all time, so you can tell a trend from a one-off.
Population reports and gem rates
How many copies each grader has slabbed and how many came back a 10, which is half of why a PSA 10 costs what it does.
Market movers
The biggest gainers and losers over a day, a week, a month or a quarter, by category.
A scanner for the stack in front of you
Photo in, exact card and price out, in your phone's browser. Free account, 50 scans a month.
Grading ROI on Pro
Raw versus graded profit with the fees netted out, and a Grade, Consider or Skip call per card.
An API
The same prices and sales for developers, documented at /developers.
Sports card price checker
Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, soccer, golf, tennis, racing, UFC, boxing and wrestling are all in, and sports is most of the catalog. For a baseball card price checker the thing that matters is the parallel and the grade: a 2011 Topps Update Trout raw and the PSA 10 are two different markets, and the price grid shows both without you having to go hunting. Rookies, autos and numbered parallels each carry their own sold prices, and when a rare parallel hasn't sold lately the card page shows comparable sales from its siblings in the set so you're not staring at a blank.
Pokémon, MTG and Yu-Gi-Oh price checker
The TCG side works the same way. Type the card and its number for Pokémon; the regular print, the reverse holo and the illustration rare are separate rows. For Magic, include the set, because most cards have been printed more than once and each printing carries its own price. Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, Lorcana, Digimon and Dragon Ball are in there too, with the rarity or printing on the row where it changes the price. There's a dedicated Pokémon card price checker page and a Magic: The Gathering values hub if you want the long version.
Three ways to check a card's price
| Method | What you get | What it costs you |
|---|---|---|
| eBay sold filter | Real sales, but you sort out grades, parallels, reprints and lots by hand, and it only looks back about three months. | Free. A few minutes a card if you're careful. |
| Price guide sites | One number per card, often a blended guide price. Graded prices and history are frequently behind a paywall. | Free to a monthly fee. |
| HobbyCardIndex | The exact card, raw and graded prices from real sold prices, dated comps, history, pop data, and a scanner for the cards in hand. | Free to look up. Free account for the scanner and a collection. |
We also keep a comparison of card price tools if you want to see how the other options line up.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check a card's price for free?
Type the card into the search box on this page, pick the exact card from the results, and read the price grid on its page: raw and graded, from real sold prices. No account needed for that. If you have the card in hand, the free scanner does the same from a photo, with 50 scans a month.
What's the difference between a listing price and a sold price?
A listing price is what a seller is asking; a sold price is what a buyer actually paid. The gap can be large, especially on graded cards where sellers anchor high and wait. Every price here is a sold price, which is why it's sometimes lower than the first number you see on a marketplace.
How do I check a graded card's price?
Look up the card, then read the grade columns on its page: PSA 10, PSA 9, PSA 8, BGS 9.5, CGC 10 and SGC 10 sit next to the raw price. In the app, a grade without a column is priced from our own sold comps at that grade, or shown as a raw floor when there aren't any.
Does it cover baseball, football and basketball cards?
Yes, and hockey, soccer, golf, tennis, racing, UFC, boxing and wrestling. Sports is most of the catalog. Type the year, set and player, pick the parallel, and the raw and graded sold prices are on the card page, with rookies, autos and numbered parallels each on their own row.
Does it work as an MTG or Yu-Gi-Oh card price checker?
Yes. Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana, Digimon and Dragon Ball are all in the catalog. For Magic, include the set, since most cards have been printed more than once and each printing carries its own price. Yu-Gi-Oh rarities are listed separately where they sell separately.
How current are the prices?
Prices refresh on a rolling cycle that runs every day, and each day's price is kept as a snapshot. That's what draws the history chart. The sold comps under the grid are dated, so you can see for yourself whether the last sale was this week or last spring.
Can I check a price by scanning the card instead of typing?
Yes. The card scanner reads the card from a photo in your phone's browser and opens the same price grid, which is faster than typing when you've got a stack in front of you. It needs a free account, which comes with 50 scans a month. Typing works without signing in.
